NATUREO FINANCE raises £24 million for OXIS Energy

NATUREO FINANCE, investment banking firm providing advice on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and private placements in the cleantech sectors advises Oxis Energy, a lithium battery specialist, on its fundraising with Safran, Arkema and Aerotec Brasil.

Natureo Finance raised £15m in 2012 for Oxis Energy. In 2018, Oxis management team renewed its confidence in Natureo Finance and mandated the team for a new fundraising. With the support of Natureo, the company raised £24m in this new series B.

OXIS Energy is developing an innovative Lithium Sulfur [Li-S] battery chemistry that will revolutionize the rechargeable battery market. The company allows a significant increase in gravimetric energy: in october 2018 the company reached 425Wh/kg on large cells 16Ah.

The capital raised will be used to automate the mass-production of batteries, thanks to state-of-the-art manufacturing machines and to launch the commercialization of the products. The key markets targetted by Oxis Energy are aerospatial, defence and heavy vehicles .

The closing of the transaction is a testimony that Natureo is able to unite a pool of strategic investors to accompany the development of technology companies. It also demonstrates Natureo’s expertise in working alongside with companies from the energy transition market.
